(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson county board of supervisors Tuesday approved a manure management plan submitted by Patrick Jones of rural Milford.
Jones plans to expand his dairy operation in Section 34 of Milford Township, expanding it to 1,382 animal units. Because his was was existing operation with over a thousand animal units, he was not required to go through the state’s so-called “Matrix System”.
No one at Tuesday’s meeting had any comments on the proposal. Supervisor David Gottsche reported he had contacted Jones’ neighbors and none of them had concerns.
