Dickinson Supervisors Approve Arnolds Park Water Project

November 23, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson county board of supervisors Tuesday approved plans by the city of Arnolds Park to extend an eight inch water main to some residents just east of the present city limits. Atleast one well in that area has gone dry in the past year; others are contaminated.

The county had to approve the plans since the area hasn’t been annexed into the city yet and because the proposed line would go under some county roads.

Supervisors also set March 11th as the date for a public hearing on a proposal to amend the County Attorney’s budget for the current fiscal year to reflect a grant received through the Violence Against Women’s Act. The 52,916-dollars has allowed the office to hire a person dedicated to prosecuting domestic abuse cases and some sex abuse cases.
