Dickinson, Emmet Counties Hire New Domestic Abuse Prosecutor

(Spirit Lake)– Dickinson and Emmet counties have a new part-time domestic abuse prosecutor.

The Dickinson county board of supervisors Tuesday approved the hiring of Alyssa Pelinski to the position, which she’ll be sharing with Emmet county. Her salary will be 40-thousand dollars a year plus insurance. Most of the salary is being funded by a federal grant.

Pelinski’s hiring is retroactive to July 25th.

In other action, the supervisors awarded a bid of 129,502-dollars for sealcoating on County Road M-27. The project was awarded to the Road Guy of Yankton, South Dakota…the only firm to submit a bid.

The supervisors also awarded a bid of 63,553-dollars for a wetland mitigation project associated with the Hinshaw Bridge project. The bid was submitted by Beck Excavating of Spirit Lake. It came in OVER the engineer’s estimate of 59,492-dollars. Two bids were submitted for the project.
