(Spirit Lake)– Some less-fortunate residents of Dickinson county will be staying warmer this winter thanks to the work of local volunteers.
Joann McCulloch of the Dickinson county Retired Senior Volunteer Program, or RSVP, tells KUOO news they recently completed their “Operation Mitten” program. McCulloch says the program collected more than 300 hats, mittens, scarves and slippers. The items will be donated to Upper Des Moines Opportunity and residents of Oak Haven Care Facility.
