Dickinson Co. Man Re-Sentenced On Federal Meth Charges

(Sioux City)– A Dickinson county man has been re-sentenced on methamphetamine charges in U-S District Court.

34-year-old Russell Hodge of Montgomery was originally sentenced to seven years in federal prison for manufacturing and distributing more than 33 pounds of methamphetamine. Hodge was re-sentenced earier this month to 10 years in federal prison. The new sentence was handed down after a decision by the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals which reversed and remanded the original sentence.

Hodge pleaded guilty to charges of conspiring to manufacture and disribute pure methamphetamine and to distribute pseudoephedrine, and knowingly possessing a firearm while being a drug user.
