(Spirit Lake)– The board that recommends salaries for Dickinson county’s elected officials met Tuesday.
The Dickinson County Compensation Board voted to recommend the board of supervisors grant three percent raises requested by the Sheriff and Recorder.
The Treasurer had originally requested a 4.4 percent wage hike. But several Comp. Board members said they wanted to keep the percentages closer in line to what was being requested by other officials, and voted to recommend a three percent increase instead.
Siting a huge caseload in the county, the Comp. Board voted to recommend a salary increase of more than three percent for the County Attorney. The three percent she had requested would have increased her salary to 51,505-dollars a year. With one member abstaining, the Compensation Board voted to recommend a salary of 55-thousand.
The board also recommended a two percent pay increase for the board of supervisors.
The supervisors will act on the Compensation Board’s recommendations at a special meeting at 1:00 p.m. Thursday.
