(Orleans)– The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office has released additional details into a one-vehicle rollover that took place around 2:00 a.m. Thursday on 140th Street east of Orleans.
Authorities have identified the driver of the vehicle as 21-year-old Dennis Naatjes of rural Spirit Lake.
Authorities say Naatjes lost control of a 2001 Toyota Rav as he was eastbound on 140th Street. The vehicle went into the ditch and rolled, coming to rest on its top.
A passenger, 22-year-old Kyle Wilson of Renner, South Dakota was injured and was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare. Another passenger, identified as 22-year-old Kenneth Zantner, also of Renner, South Dakota, refused treatment.
Naatjes was cited for failure to have control and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.
