(Okoboji)– An attempted murder charge has been filed against a Des Moines woman in connection with a stabbing last evening in Okoboji.
Okoboji police say they were called to a report of a stabbing shortly before 9:00 p.m. at a residence in the 1700 block of Lake Shore Drive. Authorities say the owner of the residence, 49-year-old Rod Williams of Des Moines, had been stabbed. Williams was taken by ambulance to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital where he was treated for a minor knife wound and released.
Arrested in connection with the incident was Williams’ live-in girlfriend, 57-year-old Linda Taube, also of Des Moines. She was charged with attempted murder…a class “B” felony. Taube was booked into the Dickinson county jail. Her bond hadn’t been set as of late this (Thurs.) morning as she hadn’t seen a judge yet.
The Okoboji Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Arnolds Park Police Department and the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say the incident remains under investigation.
