Defibrillators In Schools

(Spirit Lake)– Defibrillators may soon be in each of the three Spirit Lake school buildings.

The school board discussed the matter briefly at its meeting Monday. Board member Dr. Mike Donahue will look into the availability of grants to help purchase the machines. He said a local distributor can get refurbished units that are guaranteed for a lot less than buying them new.

All staff and administrators would be trained on how to use the life-saving devices.
