(Ringsted)– Authorities are investigating the death of a Ringsted teenager.
Kossuth county officials say 18-year-old Andrew Joseph Preston was found lying near the end of a farm driveway about 10 miles northeast of Fenton early Tuesday. Authorities say he died of head injuries. They say it appeared Preston had been struck by a vehicle and dragged. The vehicle then left the scene. A suspect vehicle has been impounded, but so far, no arrests have been made.
The Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office is being assisted in the ongoing investigation by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation.
