(Spirit Lake)– Contract negotiations continue between Dickinson County Memorial Hospital and the union that represents most of its nurses. Talks over wages and benefits started last month. The union has proposed a ten percent increase while the hospital is proposing about a four and-a-half percent hike. There’s no word as to when the next round of talks will be held. The union presented its initial proposal a couple weeks ago; the hospital presented its proposal last week.
Meanwhile, negotiations with another union that represents another group of employees at DCMH get underway today (Thursday). These talks involve representatives of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees. It represents eight members of the hospital’s Mobile Intensive Care Service Unit.
