(Spirit Lake)– A broken natural gas line caused some excitement late Thursday morning in Spirit Lake.
Officials were called to the corner of Highways nine and 71 and Erie Avenue around 11:20 a.m. after getting a report that a natural gas line had accidentally been damaged in that area.
The area was cordoned off and the Spirit Lake Fire Department stood by as a precaution while crews with Aquila capped off the line without incident.
Authorities were on the scene not quite an hour.
No injuries were reported.
