(Sheldon)– The Iowa Department of Transportation has set December 4th as the date for an open forum to hear comments on plans for the Highway 60 bypass of Sheldon.
The forum will be held at the Sheldon campus of Northwest Iowa Community College from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.
Plans call for a four-lane divided highway on relocated alignment around the south and east sides of Sheldon…from south of the Little Floyd River to north of Ritter…a distance of about 10 miles.
The project is part of the improvement of Highway 60 from LeMars to the Minnesota stateline.
