(Spirit Lake)– A long time Spirit Lake banker has been named this year’s Citizen of the Years.
The honor was bestowed this past weekend upon Bob Currell of First Bank and Trust. Currell says he was totally surprised when his name was announced this year’s winner. He says he’s very honored.
Currell has been a lakes area resident for some 47 years and has been very active in his church, civic organizations and the school system.
Currell says he’s been very happy to have been able to contribute to the community, and urges others to do the same.
The Citizens of The Years Award is sponsored each year by the Spirit Lake Noon Kiwanis.
