(Spirit Lake)– Crawford County Attorney Thomas Gustafson has issued a public apology after being charged in Okoboji this past weekend with public intoxication.
In a statement issued this morning, Gustafson said he’s sorry for…quoting here…”the embarrassment caused to my children, friends, private practice clients, and the residents of Crawford county for whom I am county attorney…” end quote. Gustafson added he’s seeking a professional evaluation.
Gustafson was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over around 2:45 a.m. Sunday in Okoboji. Police say Gustafson took off on foot…but was found a short time later. He was charged with public intoxication. A female driver of the car was released.
