(Wilmont, Mn.)– A two-vehicle accident in Nobles county has claimed the life of a Worthington man.
The Minnesota State Patrol says vehicles driven by 34-year-old Aden Valdez of Worthington and 56-year-old Lavonne Huisman of Wilmont broadsided each other on Highway 266 about a mile east of Wilmont.
Valdez was taken to the Worthington Regional Hospital where he later died of his injuries. Huisman was also taken to the Worthington hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Extensive damage was estimated to a 1994 Buick LeSabre driven by Valdez and to a 1989 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Huisman.
The mishap took place around 7:30 a.m.
