Corridor Of Opportunity Conducts Labor Survey

November 23, 2014

(Arnolds Park)– The Iowa Great Lakes Corridor of Opportunity is conducting a survey of the laborshed in Clay and Dickinson counties.

The corridor’s Associate Director, Ann Dittsworth, says the survey will give them a better idea of where their labor is coming from when it comes to commuting patterns. She says it also helps determine where they should advertise for workers, and it gives an idea on how large the local labor supply is.

Dittsworth says surveys are in the process of being mailed out to area employers. She asks that they be returned by January 30th.

Dittsworth says the information will be tabulated by Iowa Workforce Development and put into a report for anyone interested.
