(Washington, D.C.)– The Humboldt-based Corn Belt Power Cooperative has been awarded some federal funding.
U-S Senator Chuck Grassley says Corn Belt is one of 11 electric and telephone utilities in Iowa that will share in 3.1 million dollars in grants and loans from the U-S Department of Agriculture’s Rural Economic Development Grant and Rural Economic Development Loan Program. The initiative provides grants and zero-interest loans to electric and telephone utilities financed by the Rural Utilities Service…another agency of the U-S Department of Agriculture.
Corn Belt Power Cooperative will receive almost 132-thousand dollars through the program.
