Congressman Steve King Files For Re-Election

(Des Moines)– U.S. Congressman Steve King’s campaign filed petitions with the Iowa Secretary of State’s office Thursday. He name will appear on the Republican Primary Election ballot for U.S. Representative from Iowa’s 5th Congressional District.

King was first elected to the U.S. House in 2002.

He serves on the Agriculture, Judiciary and Small Business Committees in the House.

Prior to his election to Congress, King served in the Iowa Senate for six years.

King is a native of Kiron, in Sac county.
