(Estherville)– A committee has narrowed it’s search for a new president at Iowa Lakes Community College.
The search committee announced today it’s narrowed a list of 21 applicants to four. Jack Tatman of Superior chairs the search committee and is president of the ILCC board of trustees. He tells KUOO news the four finalists are Dr. William Giddings, President of the Grand Island campus of Central Community College in Nebraska; Dr. A. Michael Hupfer, Vice President of Human Resources at Des Moines Area Community College in Ankeny; Ellen Gray Kennedy, Executive Dean of the Estherville Campus of Iowa Lakes Community College; and Dr. David Nixon, Executive Dean of the Emmetsburg campus of Iowa Lakes Community College.
Tatman tells KUOO news interviews, which will be open to the public, will be held the week of August 13th. Tatman says the committee will make a decision on August 23rd.
Current president Jim Billings is retiring.
