(Superior)– A combine was destroyed by fire Thursday afternoon on a farm near Superior.
Superior Fire Chief Jim Nygard tells KUOO news they were called to the Ron Resch farm between 1:30 and 2:00 p.m. Nygard says Resch was combining oats when the machine caught on fire…completely destroying it.
Resch was treated for heat exhaustion trying to battle the fire.
The Superior Fire Department was assisted on the scene by the Spirit Lake Fire Department.
Nygard says a cause of the fire hasn’t been identified.
Firefighters were on the scene about an hour and-a-half.
