Clay County Woman Sentenced On Meth Charge

(Sioux City)– A Clay county woman has been sentenced to 56 months in federal prison for manufacturing meth.

23-year-old Lisa Marie Van Ampting was sentenced last month after pleading guilty to conspiracy to manufacture and distribute methamphetamine. At a plea hearing she admitted to manufacturing and distributing atleast 15 batches of methamphetamine using the anhydrous cook method.

In addition to the 56-month prison sentence, Van Ampting must also serve a five-year term of supervised release.
