(Spencer)– Only one current school board member in Spencer up for re-election is fighting to keep her seat next year.
Sue Harmon has filed papers to seek another term, but incumbent Scott DeGeest has decided not to run again.
The open seats on the Spencer Board of Education are considered at-large seats. Three candidates will be vying for the two openings. Dean Mechler and Leslie Zobrist will compete with Harman for the two at-large spots.
South Clay schools will have two at-large vacancies. Incumbent Troy Maryland is seeking re-election to the board while Michael Hildebrand is running for the second spot. Incumbent Scott Bank has decided against seeking another term.
No one filed for the district two position on the Clay Central-Everly school board. Incumbent Shane Keefer will not seek re-election.
