Clay County Rollover Sends Four To Hospital

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– Four people were injured in a one-vehicle rollover Monday in Clay county.

The Sheriff’s Office says 19-year-old Nicholas Kirsch of Laurens was eastbound on 430th Street just east of 250th Avenue when he lost control of a 1992 Oldsmobile. The vehicle went into the north ditch where it rolled, coming to rest on its wheels. The subjects managed to get out of the vehicle and walked to a farm place where they called 9-1-1.

Kirsch and three passengers were taken to Spencer Hospital. Kirsch was treated for minor injuries; Duane Condit, a passenger, was treated for undisclosed injuries; and two 15-year-old females went to the hospital-one with minor injuries; the other with undisclosed injuries.

Kirsch was charged with failure to maintain control.

The vehicle was totaled.

The crash took place shortly after 6:30 p.m. Monday.
