(Spencer)– Clay county residents are invited to a meeting Wednesday to give input on financial needs of the area that will be addressed by the newly-formed Clay County Community Foundation.
The Clay County Community Foundation will serve as a mechanism through which new state revenues will distributed through the county. It’s estimated the Foundation will receive between 50-thousand and 60-thousand dollars a year from the state.
Jane Goeken is with the Clay County Extension Service and is also a Community Foundation Board member. She says people are being asked to fill out a “needs survey” before coming to Wednesday’s meeting.
Goeken says the survey forms are available at most city halls and post offices throughout Clay county, as well as the extension office in Spencer.
Wednesday’s meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Clay County Extension Office.
