(Spencer)– A two-vehicle collision in southern Clay county over the weekend sent three people to the hospital.
The mishap took place around 3:20 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Highway 10 and 160th Avenue just east of Peterson.
Authorities say 60-year-old Carol Sheriff of Sanborn was westbound on Highway 10 when 42-year-old George Keeler of Royal failed to stop for a stop sign and pulled in front of her.
Keeler, Sheriff and a passenger in her vehicle were taken by ambulance to Spencer Hospital with multiple injuries.
A 1999 Oldsmobile driven by Sheriff and a 1970 Ford pickup driven by Keeler were totalled.
Keeler was charged with failure to stop at a stop sign, driving without a license and driving without insurance.
