Clay County Fair Concludes Another Run

November 23, 2014

(Spencer)– The Clay County Fair is history for another year.

The gates officially closed on the 2002 edition Sunday evening.

Fair officials say 24,613 people went through the gates on the closing day. That brings the grand total for the nine days to 310,921.

Phil Hurst, General Manager for the Clay County Fair, says that’s the second largest crowd since the fair extended its run to nine days several years ago.
