(Spencer)– A two-vehicle collision Wednesday in Clay county sent two men to the hospital.
According to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, the collision happened around 1:00 p.m. at the intersection of 410th Street and 190th Avenue just northwest of Greenville.
Authorities say 19-year-old Ryan Smith of Ayrshire was eastbound on 410th Street in a Dodge Dynasty while 28-year-old Corey Hofmeyer of Ruthven was northboun on 190th Avenue. The two collided in the intersection with the feed truck striking the car on the passenger side. The truck then rolled into the east ditch.
Both Smith and Hofmeyer were ejected from their vehicles and sustained multiple injuries. They were taken by ambulance to Spencer Municipal Hospital and were transferred to Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City. Hofmeyer is listed in good condition; Smith requested no information be released about his condition.
