November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– Two Clay county men face felony drug charges following a month-long drug investigation.

The investigation by Spencer police led to the arrests of 23-year-old Matthew Cacek of Ruthven and 38-year-old Scott Stone of Dickens early this (Thurs.) morning.

Cacek is charged with one count of delivery of methamphetamine…a class “C” felony. He was booked into the Clay county jail on bond of 65-thousand dollars.

Stone was also charged with one count of meth delivery…a class “C” felony. He was also charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. If convicted, Stone’s delivery of meth charge will be enhanced because he was in possession of a firearm at the time of his arrest. He’s in the Clay county jail on bond of 67-thousand dollars.

The arrests are part of an ongoing investigation by the Spencer Police Department. Authorities say more arrests are possible.
