Clay County Authorities Continue Investigation Into Huge Pot Operation

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– Clay county authorities say they still don’t have any firm leads as to who’s responsible for a huge marijuana growing operation they discovered last week near Peterson.

Deputy Brad Hawley says they’re still asking the public to come forward with any information they may have. He adds authorities “have had multiple contacts with the property owners and tenants and are convinced they are not responsible for the operation”.

Anyone with information should contact the Clay County Sheriff’s Office at 262-3221 or Crime Stoppers at 262-6655.

The pot had an estimated street value of more than four million dollars.

Some of the plants were as much as four to six feet tall.
