A Clay county teen was lifeflighted to a hospital Thursday morning after falling out the back of a pickup truck
Acccording to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, 16 year old Matthew Trierweiler of Spencer was driving a 1999 GMC pickup when he stopped at the Everly Quick Stop around 8AM yesterday. Another teen, 16 year old Scott Schlichte jumped into the rear box of the pickup and started jumpimg up and down. Trierweiler then moved the pickup forward, causing Schlichte to fall out of the back of the truck. The teen landed on his head.
Schlicte was taken by ambulance to the Spencer Municipal Hospital, and later lifeflighted to a larger hospital. there is no word on his condition at this time. No charges were filed in the accident.
