(Spencer)– The three children allegedly abducted from their grandparents residence in Spencer have been found safe and sound with their parents in White county, Georgia.
Spencer police say they believed all along that’s where they would turn up, as Keith Pardue, the children’s father, has family that lives there. They were found at the home of Pardue’s father.
Spencer Police say the children’s mother, Samantha Pardue, and her husband took the children from the home of Samantha Pardue’s parents in Spencer Wednesday evening. Authorities say there was a physical struggle before the children were taken.
Samantha Pardue’s parents had been awarded custody of the children as the result of an emergency removal order that was issued by the Juvenile Court in Clay county on December 3rd.
Medical officials checked over the three children, 12-year-old Starla Pardue, 10-year-old Ryan Pardue and six-year-old Skyla Mumper after they were found Thursday evening in Georgia. Authorities say all three are in good health.
Keith and Samantha Pardue are being held in the White county, Georgia jail pending extradition back to Iowa where they’ve been charged with violation of a custodial order.
A statewide Amber Alert was issued for the children Wednesday after regional efforts to locate the family and the pickup they were in were unsuccessful.
