Chase Lands Two Southern Minnesota Men In Jail

November 23, 2014

(Fairmont, Mn.)– Charges have been filed against two Elmore, Minnesota men in connection with a high speed chase Wednesday night.

21-year-old Justin Kiewiek and 19-year-old William Hearn are being held on possession of stolen property, eluding and drug-related charges.

Authorities say it all started near Tuttle Lake in Emmet county where sheriff’s deputies spotted a suspicious vehicle. A chase ensued at speeds as high as 110 miles-per-hour at times. The chase went across the stateline into Martin county, Minnesota where the vehicle was driven into a field and ditch. Authorities say the two men then got out and went into a corn field where they were tracked down by the Fairmont and Algona canine units.
