(Terril)– Charges have been filed against two Palo Alto county men in an alleged home improvement and repair scam.
William Evart Robeson of rural Cylinder and Steve Paul Houschen of rural Emmetsburg have been charged with fraud and ongoing criminal conduct.
The charges stem from an alleged scheme to defraud Dennis and Sara Laidig of Terril for home repairs and improvements.
The charges allege that between August 12th and October 16th of last year the Laidigs paid for home improvements which were never completed and for materials that were never received.
The Terril Police Department was assisted in its investigation by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office and the Dickinson County Attorney’s Office.
