(Milford)– Charges have been filed against three people in connection with an April 12th break-in at the Humane Society of Northwest Iowa.
Milford police say their three and-a-half month long investigation resulted in 19-year-old Patrick Lahr of Arnolds Park being charged with burglary in the third degree…a class “D” felony; and Spenser Taylor and Zachary Koepp, both 20-years-old and both from Milford, were charged with criminal mischief in the third degree…an aggravated misdemeanor.
One of two dogs stolen in the break-in was found dead. In a news release, police say that dog was shot by someone concerned it was posing a threat to their family. Police say no charges will be filed against that person.
The other dog was recovered safe and sound southwest of Milford.
