(Spirit Lake)– Several charges have been filed against an Orange City woman in connection with a traffic stop Monday night in Spirit Lake.
Police say they stopped 37-year-old Karen Monday around 11:40 p.m. for a traffic violation and discovered that her driver’s license had been suspended. Upon further investigation, officers discovered a controlled substance believed to be methamphetamine. It was also discovered Monday was wanted on an outstanding warrant from Osceola county for a probation violation and two warrants from Dickinson county for theft.
Monday was charged with possession of a controlled substance…methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor; prohibited acts…an aggravated misdemeanor; and driving while suspended. She was booked into the Dickinson county jail.
