November 22, 2014

(Primghar)– The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office has released details into a collision Monday in which a car collided with a bicyclist on a brige west of Highway 18 and Pierce Avenue near Sanborn.

Deputies say 75-year-old Marlys Langholz of Spencer was driving a 1995 Buick and 48-year-old Edward Boll of Sanborn was riding a bicycle. Authorities say both were eastbound when Boll pulled onto the roadway to cross the bridge. Deputies say Langholz was unable to avoid the collision and struck Boll.

No injuries were reported to Langholz.

2,500-dollars in damage was estimated to the vehicle driven by Langholz; the Trek 1,000 bicycle Boll was riding sustained an estimated 500-dollars in damage.

The collision took place shortly before 6:30 p.m.
