(Wahpeton)– A Wahpeton man faces charges in connection with an incident early Saturday in which a vehicle he was driving crashed into a garage.

The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says 74-year-old Paul Krile lost control of a 2001 Porsche as he was traveling on 180th Street in Wahpeton. The vehicle left the road and collided with a garage at 2100 Manhattan Boulevard.

Krile was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare. He was treated and was then transferred to Mercy Hospital in Sioux City. He’s requested no information regarding his condition be released.

No other injuries were reported.

An estimate of damage to the garage and a car parked inside it wasn’t available. Authorities say a corner of the structure was knocked in.

Moderate damage was reported to the front passenger side of the vehicle Krile was driving.

Krile was charged with failure to maintain control. Sheriff Greg Baloun says additional charges are pending.

The crash took place between 4:30 and 5:00 a.m. Saturday.
