Nearly 200 soldiers with a northwest Iowa National Guard unit have been called to active duty. The Iowa National Guard released the details of their latest call-up Monday afternoon.
The 21-68th is being called up as part of operations Noble Eagle, Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, and the global war on terrorism.
The soldiers will leave for active duty in August. Details of a send-off ceremony are currently being worked out and will be released to the public soon.
