(Spencer)– More jobs are coming to Spencer.
An Omaha, Nebraska telemarketing firm announced today it’s going to open a 48-station call center in the former APAC location in the Gateway North Mall.
Shyrock says the company will employ about 50 people initially with that number expected to grow to 150 within a few months. Applications are being processed by Iowa Workforce Development.
Shyrock says the company’s President, Tim Brown, was impressed with the people of the area and the cleanliness of Spencer. Shryock says having a facility already set up for that type of operation was also a plus.
Top Grade plans to be up and running in its Spencer location by February 15th.
Shryock says the Corridor of Opportunity was assisted by several other agencies in the project, including Iowa Lakes Community College, the Spencer Jobs Trust and Spencer Municipal Utilities.
