(Arnolds Park)– Don’t look now, but the Iowa Great Lakes Area is about to be thrust into the national and even international spotlight.
Cary Parker, General Manager of the Arnolds Park Amusement Park, says producers with C-SPAN, an international cable news network, contacted him Monday about their plans to cover a Democratic Presidential candidate’s forum. The forum is set for 7:00 p.m. Thursday in the Pavilion.
Parker says he was told the network plans to possibly broadcast the event live. If not, he says they will record it and play it back a day or so later.
Parker says this will be the most notoriety the park has received since the Save-The-Park Campaign several years ago. Even then, he says most of the exposure came from regional stations that fed their stories to national outlets.
