(Undated)– Several area law enforcement agencies have been busy with burglary investigations this week.
The Emmetsburg Police Department was contacted Tuesday by Jim Hoch, owner of H & H Construction, about a burglary at his shop on west 25th Street. The theft took place sometime between Monday evening and early Tuesday. Thieves got away with 3,200-dollars worth of construction tools. Anyone with information is asked to contact Emmetsburg police at 852-2424.
On Monday, Spencer police made three burglary-related arrests. Three juveniles were charged with third degree burglary in connection with a burglary earlier this month at a home in the 100 block of East Park Street.
And the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office has charged two men in connection with theft of some shop tools that took place in three northwest Iowa counties.
Sheriff Doug Weber says 19-year-old Travis Siemers of Harris and 18-year-old Treven Howard of Ocheyedan have been arrested and charged with three counts each of burglary in the third degree…a class “D” felony.
Weber says the arrests stem from a search warrant deputies executed last Saturday at 1782 Vine in Osceola county. Weber says authorities recovered shop tools believed to have been taken in Osceola, Clay and Palo Alto counties.
Siemers and Howard were booked into the Osceola county jail.
