(Cherokee)– A company that makes stained-glass windows is pulling out of Cherokee.
Bogenrief Studios has shut down it’s Cherokee operations, putting 12 to 14 people out of work. The operations are being moved to their facility in Sutherland.
Jeanne Bogenrief says there were several factors that went into the decision. One is the inability to sell properties they own in LeMars and Merrill. Compounding matters, Bogenrief says, is the fact they didn’t receive funding for a one million dollar project at the Hall of Pride, which they had been commissioned to do.
She says energy costs also played a roll.
No word as to what impacts, if any, this will have on the Bogenrief’s operations in Spencer.
