(Algona)– Trial for an Algona man accused of killing a Livermore woman will stay in Kossuth county.
Judge Joseph Straub ruled Friday that Randy Bode’s first degree murder and sexual abuse trial will stay in Kossuth county, but the jury will be brought in from Palo Alto county.
Bode’s attorneys had requested a change of venue.
Bode is charged in the death of Nicole Berte. Her body was found in a burned pickup southeast of Algona on November 19th, 2000.
Bode’s trial is scheduled for February 19th.
