(Wahpeton)– The Iowa Board of Regents will hold their regular monthly meeting next week in the Iowa Great Lakes Area.
The sessions start Tuesday and run through Wednesday at Arrowwood Resort in Okoboji and Lakeside Lab on West Lake Okoboji.
The regents will convene their meeting at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday (6/15) in Executive Session (closed to the public) at Arrowwood.
Committee meetings will be held that afternoon with the regents convening in open session at 5:15 p.m.
The regents will meet once again in closed session at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday (6/16). The board will recess for lunch at 12:30 p.m. and reconvene in open session at 1:30 p.m.
One of the issues they’ll be taking up is a three billion, 100 million dollar budget proposal from the universities and schools for the deaf and blind.
Universities received no increases from the Iowa Legislature and were told to find money for pay increases in their current budgets.
