(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson County Board of Supervisors Tuesday held a bidletting to replace the Little Sioux River bridge near the Little Sioux Church southwest of Milford on county road A-43. The apparent low bidder was Graves Construction of Melvin, Iowa at 664,919-dollars…below the engineer’s estimate of 675,560-dollars. The bid must still be approved by the Iowa Department of Transportation, which is paying 80 percent of the cost.
County Engineer Dan Eckert says work should get underway this winter if weather allows.
Completion is slated for late next summer.
