(Spirit Lake)– Spirit Lake Middle School Larry Bandy has announced his resignation effective this coming June 30th.
Bandy says he’s been hired as an Elementary Principal with the Sioux Falls school district. He’ll start his new job there in mid-August.
Bandy says he’s very proud of the accomplishments made over the nine years since he’s been principal here, siting things such as the addition of exploratory classes going from four to five sections; the addition of seventh grade interscholastic athletics; improvements in technology; ho-ho grams at Christmas time; and a great staff.
Bandy informed staff members of his resignation last Friday. The school board will take it up at its meeting later this month.
