Avera Holy Family Awarded Wellness Grant

(Estherville)– A local hospital has been awarded federal funding through a program promoting healthy lifestyles.

Avera Holy Family in Estherville will be getting 120-thousand dollars.

It’s one of 28 public and private organizations in Iowa to be awarded 2.7 million dollars in funding through U.S. Senator Tom Harkin’s Wellness Grant Program in conjunction with the Iowa Department of Public Health.

The funding is included in the Fiscal Year 2005 Omnibus Appropriations Bill.
