(Spirit Lake)– Authorities have released the names of the parents of four and-a-half month old Shania Laird of Spirit Lake…who was found dead earlier this week in her home. They’re identified as 36-year-old Lori Mason and 37-year-old John Laird…both of Spirit Lake.
Authorities were called to the house they were living in at 904 12th street around 1:19 p.m. Thursday, where they found Shania.
An autopsy was performed Friday in Sioux Falls. KUOO News has learned the results have been sent back to Spirit Lake…but authorities aren’t commenting on them.
A news release issued late Friday says it will probably be sometime Monday before any more information is released.
It’s not certain if anyone has been questioned yet in the case. No arrests had been made yet Friday and it isn’t known if any charges are pending.
