(Spencer)– A Spencer man wanted on a warrant out of Sioux county for contempt of court was arrested Thursday following a traffic stop in Spencer.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy spotted a vehicle driven by 26-year-old Abraham Brewer of Spencer and pulled him over, knowing Brewer was wanted.
Authorities say the warrant for Brewer stems from an original charge of possessing contraband in a correctional institution.
Brewer was also cited for no proof of insurance.
Upon confirmation of the warrant he was arrested and booked into the Clay county jail on a five thousand dollar cash or surety bond.
